At least eight people have been killed in a gas cylinder explosion at a hotel in Vidyavihar near Kurla in Mumbai.
According to initial reports, the explosion took place at Kinara restaurant, which is just five minutes away from Kurla and Vidyavihar.
Injured have been admitted to Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar .
A fire that broke out after the explosion has been brought under control.
Raosaheb Shinde, Additional CP said, "Prima facie it appears there was a leak in LPG cylinder. The exact reason will be known after forensic team arrives."
