A construction material supplier, his wife and their teenager son committed suicide in Rajkot early on Thursday morning under mysterious circumstances.
In a suicide note recovered by police, the deceased have said that they were fed up with their lives and that nobody else were to be blamed for their act.
According to Malavianagar police, Haresh Tanti, his wife Kiran Tanti and their 13-year-old son Jasmin committed suicide early in the morning.
“Father of Haresh Tanti found them hanging from the ceiling fan at their residence and informed relatives and police,” assistant sub inspector (ASI) of Malavianagar police, PP Khara, said. Khara is investigating the case.
Tanti had a business of supplying construction material and was living just beside his younger brother in Alka Society in Mavadi Plot area of the city.
According to police sources, the extended Tanti family of four brothers were on good terms with each other.
Though the brothers were living separately, they had no dispute with each other and had their own independent business. Haresh was also doing well. “He did not have any problem in his business. He was religious by nature and used to help others,” said a source close to the family.
Police have found a suicide note in which the Tantis mentioned that they were committing suicide since they were fed up of their lives.
“We are fed up of our life. Our parents or other family members do not have any role in this,” the note reads.
ASI Khara said, “As of now, we have registered a case of suicide and are investigation the matter. We are questioning family members and friends but there are no leads as yet.”
