Terming the BJP victory in Northeast as just a trailer, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday claimed that BJP would win Karnataka too before repeating its victory in 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Fadnavis said the BJP secured nearly half of the total vote share in Tripura, Nagaland, and Meghalaya, which shows that voters are increasingly in favour of the BJP.

Advising Left parties to introspect, Fadnavis said there were attacks on 27 BJP workers in six months in Tripura.

Admiring the contribution of Sunil Deodhar — who hails from Maharashtra and has played important role in Tripura, Fadnavis said, “It was Deodhar who exposed Tripura CM Manik Sarkar through a book and came out with a chargesheet which paved way for BJP victory.”

Fadnavis said Congress should better contest only bye-elections since it cannot win regular elections.
