Congress MP and Union Minister Shashi Tharoor during an informal chat with reporters in Indore made a jibe at Gujarat CM Narendra Modi and his hopes of being Prime Minister of India.
"It's also my dream that Modi should never become Prime Minister. In a sense, my dream and his dream are the same," Tharoor said during the interaction.
The noted author-turned-politician was asked to comment on the BJP leader's statement that he does not dream of becoming PM and will respect the people of Gujarat's mandate of having him serve them as chief minister till 2017.
Tharoor who is the Minister of State for Human Resource Development was at Mhow near Indore to attend a function at the IIT, which currently operates out of temporary premises.
Modi and Tharoor sparred some time ago when the Gujarat CM called the Kerala MP's wife Sunanda Pushkar a '50-crore-rupee girlfriend'.
