Narendra Modi spews enough venom in Maninagar on Congress

Before hitting the road for full-throttle election crusade across the state, CM Narendra Modi on Friday fired up his campaign from Maninagar with a fiery speech against Congress, but also mentioning about the future of children of Gujarat.

Referring to infighting within Gujarat Congress and open revolt by the party’s senior leaders, Modi inquired about who is the face of the party in the state. “What can they (Congress) give to the people, when their own leaders are hiding faces from their own workers. Nobody knows who their leaders are,” thundered Modi.“Congress has spent millions for their campaigning in the state, more than what they spent in 2007, but they are making mistakes in recognising people of Gujarat. Modi was addressing a audience near Avkar Hall in Maninagar, prior to filing his nomination from the constituency.

Modi, in the course of his speech, mentioned about the incident in Visavadar where a 12-year-old boy snatched away mandate of Congress’s candidate from the constituency, Ratilal Mangrolia. “Like that wise boy, people of the state will snatch away Congress’s mandate from the state,” he said.

“Congress has to stop playing games from behind the curtains. They have decided to make Ahmed Patel their chief minister, and he is the only Patel in their party! People of Gujarat, you know your game,” he said further.

And like in every public address before, he trained his barbs once again at UPA Governement. “Everybody knows about their administration in New Delhi and people know what will happen if power goes in their hands. They shouldn’t vote for any candidate or any party, but should vote thinking about their child’s future,” said Modi.

“Gujarat’s future shouldn’t be in the hands of such people (Congress). Those who cannot sail their the boat of their own party, how will they sail Gujarat’s boat to safety,” he asked.
