Militants tonight shot dead a ruling National Conference activist in Bandipora district of north Kashmir, officials said.
Ghulam Hassan Dar was shot dead inside his house at Dangar Mohalla in Hajan town, 50 kms from here, they said.
The 47-year-old property dealer and his wife had reportedly contested municipal elections six years ago.
No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
