The National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided residences of top JeM terrorists, key accused in the February 14 suicide bombing.
NIA sleuths conducted simultaneous searches at 11 locations in South Kashmir in the ongoing investigation into the suicide bombing that killed 44 CRPF personnel earlier this month, and also into funding of separatists.
“These include houses of Mudassir Ahmad Khan and Sajjad Bhat (both active JeM terrorists and key accused in the Pulwama attack), and houses of active OGWs (Over Ground Workers) of JeM in Tral, Awantipora and Pulwama. Incriminating material, including diaries with coded writings, were seized,” said NIA. It said searches were also carried out at houses of three separatist leaders, including Mohommad Shaban Dar, Showkat Maulvi and Yasmin Raja, in the terror funding case.
“Documents related to terror funding, coded messages and Jihadi literature has been seized. During searches, NIA teams also recovered lot of incriminating documents including property details, documents relating to financial and monetary transactions, electronic devices, mobile phones, SIM cards etc.,” said the NIA.
