Around 1,000 police personnel are today guarding the visiting British prime minister David Cameroon in the national capital.
A three-tier security ring around the Taj Hotel where Cameron is staying during his two-day visit to the country protects him, sources said. He reached Delhi from Bangalore.
Sources said that Cameroon is staying at the hotel's grand presidential suite, which is being guarded by the British premier's personal security guards.
Security staff of the hotel form the second layer of the prime minister's shield while Delhi police personnel are are at the third layer of the security ring.
According to a senior police official, around 1,000 Delhi police personnel have been deployed near the hotel.
