Nine Indian Oil Corporation officials sent to 15 days of judicial custody

All of them were arrested yesterday under Sec 304-II of IPC at the Sanganer Sadar police station in the fire case which claimed eleven lives on October 29 last year at Sitapura plant.

Nine Indian Oil Corporation officials, including general manager for Rajasthan, were today sent to 15 days of judicial custody by a local court.
 
The officials were today produced before judicial magistrate (Sanganer) who sent them to 15 days of judicial custody. The accused will be produced before the court again on July 17, circle officer Lalit Sharma told PTI.
 
The police had arrested Gautam Bose (general manager), Rajesh Sayal (chief of operation), Shashank Shekhar (manager-operation), KS Kanojia (senior terminal manager), Arun Poddar (manager-terminal), Kapil Goyal (deputy manager-terminal), Ashok Gupta (operation officer), Kailash Nath Agarwal (chargeman) and SS Gupta (DGM pipeline) in the fire case which claimed eleven lives on October 29 last year at Sitapura plant, around 20 km from here.
 
All of them were arrested yesterday under Sec 304-II of IPC (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) at the Sanganer Sadar police station here after interrogation by cops in the case registered by a private firm Genus Company.
