Nitish Kumar orders reinstating Rabri Devi's security cover
The CM has asked the officials to furnish complete details of the matter as well as information related to the security arrangements of 10, Circular road.

The Bihar government on Thursday reinstated the security at former Chief Minister Rabri Devi's 10, Circular road residence, a day after Devi said the central and state governments will be responsible in the event of any untoward incident with her family members when the commandos deployed at her home had been withdrawn.
Devi along with her two sons Tejashwi Prasad Yadav -- the Leader of the Opposition in Bihar Legislative Assembly and Tej Pratap Yadav -- an MLA, lives in the house, which had been allotted to her as the former CM of Bihar in 2005. The family had given up all their guards and said the people of Bihar will protect them after their security had been stepped down and the commandos left their home around midnight on Tuesday.
However, a prompt action to reinstate their security was taken on Thursday following a directive from Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who took cognizance of Devi's Wednesday letter, after returning to Patna on Thursday.
"The CM directed the state home department to reinstall the security personnel deployed at Devi's residence. He also sought to know from the officials, under what circumstances, when, why and at what level was it decided to change the security arrangement at the two former CMs' residence, which has been allotted to them for their life," a source said.

Devi had alleged that the government was trying to kill her family members by reducing their security cover. Several of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) lawmakers had also surrendered their security as a mark of protest.
The RJD though has questioned Kumar's sincerity as they pointed that he himself held the home department portfolio. "The CM should make public why was the security withdrawn in the first place and on whose instructions? People have once against seen why he is know as 'Paltu Ram' (turncoat) as he has once again gone back on his decision," Tejashwi said.
