The examination in English paper of Class 11 (science stream) held on Friday, the second day of the semester exams, passed off without any incident.
An official statement issued by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) stated that, in Ahmedabad, out of the total 11,219 students, 11,136 appeared in the examination while 83 were absent.
No cheating cases were reported from any of the examination centres in the 26 districts of the state, though a total of 119,261 students took the exam.
