Are you one of the devotees who couldn’t get a good darshan of Goddess Bhadrakali because of the crowd? Well, you will be able to have her darshan from the comfort of your home at the click of the mouse! The temple authorities are working on making its services online right from darshan to prasad.
The website www.bhadrakalimaa.com is presently being updated with ‘Shringar darshan’ of the Goddess for nine days. During Navratri, Goddess Bhadrakali, who is also considered as Nagardevi of Ahmedabad, is decorated differently each day. “The photos of the goddess with nine different types of attire and accessories will be posted on the website,” said the priest and trustee of Bhadrakali temple, Shirish Awasthi.
Apart from this, the temple authorities have decided to introduce online live darshan and other services, which will be paid for by the devotees. A devotee has to just open the temple’s website and fill the details regarding payment to get a live darshan of the puja at the temple. The temple authorities will soon install cameras to enable recording of the aarti. Stating about the status of the this development, one of the trustees, Ashutosh Awasthi said, “we have applied for all the legal permissions. We are working on installing recording cameras in the temple for live recording. We will be able to start these services in a month or two.” Another trustee of the temple, Shashikant Tiwari said, “Since the past few years we have been receiving demand from devotees abroad to start online darshan services. The website was launched two years back.
Interestingly, one of the services to be included on the website is of puja assistance, which will be interactive. Devotees in India or abroad, who want to perform puja of the Goddess can get to know the rituals and proper procedure to be followed through this website. “We will have a video on our website where a priest will explain the rituals along with the mantras and shlokas. This has been done to assist those devotees who want to perform puja at their home but are not aware of how to go about it,” added Awasthi. To offer services to devotees across the globe, the temple has also planned for online Prasad. You need to book/order the prasad on the website giving your postal address. “For this, we are working matters out with courier companies as carrying food items to foreign countries is not allowed,” said Awasthi. Moreover, there will be audio files of shlokas and chants of Goddess Bhadrakali and photos of the Goddess in different attire which can downloaded from the website.
