Bittu Bajrangi was arrested by Police on Tuesday in connection with the violence that erupted in Haryana’s Nuh and Gurugram. The Police armed with sticks and pistols, briefly chased around Bittu’s house. CCTV footage from the area around Bittu Bajrangi's home shows how the cow vigilante was chased by unmarked police after they came and caught him off guard. 

The locals watched as at least 15 to 20 police officers chased the lungi-clad cow vigilante. After the chase on Tuesday afternoon in the streets of Faridabad’s Dabua, the police eventually nabbed Bittu.

Bittu Bajrangi is a self-proclaimed cow vigilante known for his divisive diatribes, nabbed by the Police. Bittu’s real name is Raj Kumar. He is a self-proclaimed cow vigilante from Faridabad. He is the Faridabad chief of Gau Raksha Bajrang Force. 

He was charged with inciting violence after his video was made public before the Bajrang Dal event (Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra), which was attacked by Muslim groups in Nuh on July 31. The police questioned him before making the arrest. He is the first prominent arrest in the Nuh violence case.

Bittu was detained by the Faridabad Police on August 4 shortly after the Haryana riots, however, he was released on bail the same day.

According to several reports, he is charged with publishing several provocative remarks on social media before the 'Brij Mandal Yatra' got underway. 

According to Nuh police, an FIR was filed against him when ASP Usha Kundu submitted a complaint at the Sadar Nuh police station on Tuesday. Aside from rioting and violating Section 25 of the Arms Act, the charges against him also include assault or using unlawful force to prevent a public servant from performing their job.
