Omar Abdullah today broke silence over the NC worker's death saying he consciously remained silent on the matter.
He said that it was sad such allegations were being made by the allegations against him and his father.
He said, "Without even waiting for the preliminary postmortem report, me and my father were accused of murder."
He said, "It is important to know that if we had anything to hide we would not have ordered a judicial inquiry," adding that it was easy to make allegation but the fact should be allowed to tell themselves.
He said that for the opposition, to say that the deceased was tortured is wrong as it is not based on any facts. He added that if such allegations are proved then action will be taken against people responsible. However, without medical evidence, it is unacceptable to blame any party or person.
He said, "I have absolute faith in medical inquiry. I have no hesitation in bringing out the truth."
He asked the people to wait for the inquiry commission to submit its report before raising any questions, adding that the facts would speak for themselves once the report is out.
He said, "With this inquiry the lies that I have been subjected to since last Friday will be exposed."
He also said that he will be filing a defamation case against the opposition.
He said, "Whatever allegations were made against me outside the parliament today, I will not respond to them through the media or in person. The response will be sent by my lawyers in the form of a defamation case for making claims without any evidences."
