Omar offers National Conference's support to Women's Reservation Bill

Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah also thanked Sonia Gandhi, for the support the state government received from the UPA government in the last fourteen months.

Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah, who today met Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, appreciated her commitment to the Women's Reservation Bill and offered his party's support to it.
    
Omar thanked Gandhi for the support the state government received from the UPA government in the last fourteen months and assured her that National Conference will work hand in hand with the Congress to further strengthen the coalition in the state for maintaining "peace, development and harmony".
    
He briefed Gandhi about the political, social and developmental situation in the state. The two leaders also discussed the forthcoming local body elections and the strategy of the coalition to face them.
    
Lauding Gandhi on her "commitment" for passage of the Women's Reservation Bill in the Parliament, he also offered NC's support to "this landmark piece of legislation".
