Milk sold by Orissa State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (OMFED) would be costlier by Rs two per litre, official sources said today.

OMFED milk price which is Rs 20 per litre at present would be increased to Rs 22 with effect from February one as part of efforts to enable the federation to overcome severe financial crisis, they said.

In view of steep rise in the prices of fodder and medicines as well as transportation cost, it was decided to raise the milk rate, they said.
