He may have retired as the central information commissioner, but Shailesh Gandhi continues to be an activist at heart and in his post-retirement years. Instead of living a retired government officer's life, Gandhi continues to take up issues that deal with RTI.
From creating awareness and asking people to write to their MPs to avoid amendments to RTI Act, Gandhi has been vocally taking up issues that are of public interest. His latest are fighting out land leases issues, helping BMC be transparent through suo motto disclosure and giving helping hand to under trials by asking for their lists to be put up so public spirited persons can take up their cases.
