One killed in firing by Border Security Force in Tripura

Aaccording to a FIR lodged by the BSF at Raghna police station yesterday a group of smugglers with cattle trying to cross the Indo-Bangla border opened fire on the borderguards.

One person was killed when the Border Security Force (BSF) opened fire on rustlers at Yakubnagar, a border village in North Tripura district, the police said today.

The police said, according to a FIR lodged by the BSF at Raghna police station yesterday a group of smugglers with cattle trying to cross the Indo-Bangla border opened fire on the borderguards.

The BSF retaliated fatally injuring a person identified as Abdul Karim who died in hospital today.
