JAIPUR: A Pakistan national died after complaining of chest pain at Munabao railway station on the border and his body was sent back on the Thar Express, police said on Sunday.
Sayyad Hul Haq, 50, died late last night when he and his family were returning to Karachi after visiting his in-laws in Gaya district of Bihar, they said.
They reached Munabao from Jodhpur on Saturday to board the Thar Express but Haq complained of chest pain on reaching the railway station.
Haq was given medicines by his family and BSF doctors at the railway station attended to him when his condition deteriorated but he died at around 11:15 pm, they said.
The body was handed over to his family after "written approval from his wife not to perform a post-mortem as the death was due to chest pain" and a death certificate issued by a government doctor posted at Gadra police station in the district, officials from the police station said.
The Immigration Department at zero point on the Indo-Pak border was informed about his death and clearance obtained to send his body to Pakistan on the Thar Express, they said.
