Pakistani troops fired at Indian posts Saturday night to help terrorists sneak into Jammu and Kashmir, sparking a two-hour gun battle, army sources here said Sunday.

The Indian side noticed movement of some "intruders" in Krishna Ghati sector in Poonch district at around 10 p.m. Saturday, the sources said. Immediately thereafter, Pakistani troops opened fire on the Indian posts using machine guns. There was no casualty on the Indian side. As firing erupted between the Indian and Pakistani troops, the terrorists retreated.

According to army sources, there were 42 terrorist training camps in Pakistani Kashmir and around 3,000 terrorists were waiting to enter India before snow closes the mountain passes on the rugged frontier.
