A man was killed and another critically injured after their motorcycle fell off the Palam-Dwarka flyover in the national capital on Monday, police said. As many as eight people have died on the stretch in the past eight days.
Srikant, a photographer, was going towards Dwarka in southwest Delhi on Monday when the accident occurred. “Srikant was riding the motorcycle and his friend was sitting pillion. When they reached a sharp curve on the flyover, Srikant lost control. Both of them fell on a concrete slab below,” police said. They were rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital, where Srikant was declared brought dead.
His friend is in critical condition. “We are discussing with the Delhi Development Authority the possibility of placing speed breakers and increasing the height of the side wall on this stretch of the flyover.
