GHAZIABAD: After two months in police custody, Moninder Singh Pandher, one of the two suspects in the Nithari killings, was on Friday sent to 14 days judicial custody by a local court.
Special Judge Sapna Mishra sent Pandher to judicial custody till March 15 as his CBI remand ended on Friday.
Surender Koli, Pandher's servant and co-suspect, is in Delhi for recording his confession before a magistrate. The recording of the statement will continue on Friday.
There was tight security at the court premises when Pandher was brought to the court as the suspects had to face mob fury on January 25 when lawyers and public thrashed them outside the court.
Both of them were in custody since December 30 last year.
The police had on December 29 recovered skulls and human remains from a drain behind Pandher's D-5, Sector 31 residence in Noida unearthing the serial killings of children and women allegedly by him and his domestic help Koli.
