PATNA: A group of armed criminals looted several passengers of the Howrah-bound Upasana Express at gun point between Athmalgola and Barh railway stations on Monday.
Superintendent of Police (Railway) Ajitabh Kumar said about eight criminals boarded the sleeper bogey between Fatuah and Bakhtiyarpur railway stations and looted the passengers.
While seven of the robbers managed to escape, one of the them was apprehended with looted articles.
The SP said three country-made pistols, 12 cartridges and three knives were recovered from the possession of the arrested.
On the basis of the statement of the arrested, raids were being conducted to nab their other associates, the SP said.
The Upasana Express was on way to Howrah from Jammu.
