The Anti-Terrorist Squat (ATS) of the Rajasthan Police has started a search operation for the three accused suspected of carrying out the serial blasts in Patna during the rally of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. The ATS has become more alert in view of Assembly elections and Modi’s proposed rallies in the state.
Notably, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Maharashtra ATS are already searching for the Patna blasts suspects and have announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for each accused. These three men are accused of serial blasts in Patna last Sunday, on October 27. The security agencies have identified one of the accused as Mohammed Tehseen (23), native of Maniyarpur village under Kalyanpur police station in Samastipur district of Bihar.
The agencies have reportedly found a Pakistani national, identified as Waqas alias Javed, as the other accused in this case. “The duo has been found involved in the Patna blasts. Apart from this they have also been found involved in 2010 blasts at Varanasi, blasts in Mumbai in 2011 and Dilsukhnagar in Hyderabad earlier this year,” said Alok Tripathi, additional director general (ADG), ATS.
He further said, “The men are operatives of Indian Mujahidding (IM) and are companions of arrested IM operative Yaseen Bhatkal.” The state ATS and Special Operations Group (SOG) are combing the state for the men, he said.
“The agencies are also searching for one Haidar Ali (25) native of Aurangabad district in Bihar and Ranchi in Jharkhand who is wanted by the NIA. The trio have a good knowledge of computers and use cyber cafes,” the ADG said.
