Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar today said he had not "applied his mind on the subject" but respects the court ruling.

Seeking to keep away from the ongoing debate over the Delhi High Court's judgment on homosexuality, Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar today said he had not "applied his mind on the subject" but respects the court ruling. "Basically we as a government have not applied our mind on the subject. If any judgement is given by any judicial authority, we should respect it," Pawar told PTI on the sidelines of a meeting organised by NCP here.

Stating that he was an integral part of the Union government, the NCP leader said he would not keep his view on the subject without discussion at an appropriate forum. Asked on the division of opinion within the Union cabinet over the judgement on the issue, he said "those are suggestions of a few individual."
