Tribal leader Chhatradhar Mahato was today remanded to jail custody till November five by a court at Jhargram in West Midnapore district.
    
The People's Committee Against Police Atrocities (PCAPA) leader was produced in the court of sub-divisional judicial magistrate Sheikh Mohammed Reza in connection with the case of murder of a local CPI-M leader from Kantapahari Prabir Mahato.
    
Posing as journalists police had arrested Chhatradhar on September 26 near Lalgarh. He has been booked under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act and several sections under the IPC.
