Having a dig at Narendra Modi and BJP, Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar today said people of the state have purchased brooms in large quantity during dhanteras to "clean the muck".
"People have purchased broom in large quantity to clean the muck coming from outside as well inside the state," Kumar said while addressing a function of state power holding company here.
People of the state would clean the "dirts" muck coming from outside to make their house and the state clean, he said in an apparent reference to Modi and BJP.
"They will remove darkness forever (by sweeping the muck)," he said.
Kumar's stinging comments came a day after he had said said that people are coming from outside to "disturb" communal harmony of the state.
The remarks were aimed at Modi and his party which has embarked on "ashthi kalash (urns) yatra" to pay respect to six people who were killed in serial explosions on October 27 when Modi held a rally at Gandhi Maidan.
Modi visited families of four victims today. He failed to pay a visit to families at Gopalganj and Supual due to bad weather.
