Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday greeted BJP chief Amit Shah on his birthday, saying his rigour and hard work are great assets for the party. Shah turned 54 today.
"Under Amit bhai's leadership, the party has expanded significantly across India. His rigour and hard work are great assets for the party," the PM tweeted.
The prime minister also wished Shah a long and healthy life.
Union AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik greeted BJP president Amit Shah Monday on his birthday, describing him as "today's Chanakya".
Naik, the BJP Member of Parliament from North Goa, took to Twitter to wish Shah, who turned 54 today.
"Birthday wishes to today's Chanakya Shri @AmitShah ji who is successfully leading the `Vijay Rath' of our PradhanSevak," he said.
Shah's commitment to ideology and his personal connection with party workers make him stand out, Naik added.
Known for his excellent organizational skills, Amit Shah is eyeing fort yet another bumper mandate for BJP in 2019 elections. Recently, addressing an event, BJP president said the party was confident of winning the 2019 Lok Sabha polls and no one will be able to remove it for the next 50 years.
Shah made the remarks at the BJP's national executive meeting as the party projected the Lok Sabha polls as a battle between a "daydreaming" opposition and its alliance whose leader Narendra Modi has an "approval rating" of over 70% and is set to build a "new India" by 2022.
"Party President Amit Shah also said that we will win 2019 polls and after 2019 polls victory, nobody will be able to remove us for next 50 years. We are not saying this out of pride but on basis of our work," Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said after BJP's national executive meeting.
The political resolution passed by the national executive of the BJP said while the prime minister is building an India of "no poverty, casteism, corruption and communalism", the sole agenda of the "frustrated" opposition was "roko Modi" (stop Modi), Union minister Prakash Javadekar told reporters.
"The BJP will return to power in 2019 with more seats and votes. The opposition is daydreaming. It neither has a leader nor policy nor strategy. It only has a negative agenda of stopping Modi and people do not like negative politics," he said about the resolution.
