Prime Minister Narendra Modi will show the heritage of Ahmedabad city to Japanese Prime Minister Shino Abe on the first day of his two days visit to Gujarat.

Modi will take Abe and his wife at Ahmedabad's famous Sidi Saiyyed Mosque more popularly known as 'Sidi Saiyyid ki Jaali'.

This mosque was built in 1573 by Sidi Saiyyed, ruler(suba) of Ahmedabad.

The mosque is entirely built of sandstone and stone slabs carved in designs of intertwined trees and foliage and a palm motif gives splendour to this architectural marvel. The Sidi Saiyyed ni Jaali is also an identity symbol for Ahmedabad city.

After spending time of around half an hour here, Modi, Abe and delegations of India and Japan will lead to heritage hotel Agashiye exactly in front of the mosque. They will be served authentic Gujarati food here.
