A day after “porngate” exploded in the Karnataka assembly, senior Opposition leaders were heard saying that not only cooperation minister Lakshman Savadi and women and child development minister CC Patil, but at least 40 other MLAs cutting across party lines were engrossed in watching the video during the assembly session.
If what the opposition leaders are saying is true, the three ministers have emerged as scapegoats. Motamma, leader of Opposition in the legislative council, said many MLAs had escaped being caught watching the video by TV channel cameras. A senior Opposition leader was heard saying that Savadi and Patil were better behaved than several other MLAs who had gone scot-free. Members of the Opposition are in no mood to let this little secret out of the bag.
This is why: "It's a golden opportunity for us (Opposition) to nail the government; we just can't let it slip away.''
