Posters of Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi carried by BJP workers today led to protests by a group of JD(U) activists led by MP Monazir Hasan, reflecting that all was not well in ruling NDA in Bihar.

When BJP supporters carrying the posters reached busy Dakbunglow roundabout here, JD(U) workers led by Hasan raised objections against it.

Hasan told the BJP workers that Modi's image was "not tolerable" in Bihar and that they should have refrained from carrying the posters during the joint bandh called to protest fuel price hike by the Centre, JD(U) sources said here.

After heated arguments for some time, both sides dispersed, they said.

The workers of the saffron party later burnt an effigy of Hasan.

Later, BJP leaders, pleading anonymity, strongly opposed Hasan's criticism.

"Modi is one among our top leaders and workers have the right to carry posters of their leaders+, they said.
