Subramanian Swamy said that Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi is 'not fit' for public life.

Bharatiya Janata Party MP Subramanian Swamy has said that Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi is bipolar and that she beats up people.

Swamy told ANI that Priyanka suffers from a disease that was not “appropriate and apt in real life”.

“The name of that disease is bipolarity, which reflects her violent character and overall image,” he claimed.

“She beats up people... Her ailment does not make her fit to lead a public life. The public should know when she is likely to lose mental balance.”

Bipolar disorder, also known as manic-depressive illness, is a disorder of the brain that causes unusual shifts in mood, energy, activity levels, and the ability to carry out day-to-day tasks.

Priyanka has been the target of criticism since her brother, Congress President Rahul Gandhi, appointed her to the post of general secretary for the Uttar Pradesh East region.

Chief Minister Adityanath on Friday said her entry into politics would not improve the Congress party’s prospects in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya on Saturday took a swipe at the Congress party over Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's appointment as a general secretary for eastern Uttar Pradesh, saying that it is the dearth of strong leaders in the party which has made it dependent on "chocolatey" faces for 2019 Lok Sabha poll glory.

Bihar minister Vinod Narayan Jha recently said that votes cannot be won on the basis of beautiful faces.

"She's very beautiful. But other than that she holds no political achievement or talent," he said.
