Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today declared that the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) would support the NDA's decision on the presidential candidate.
In a statement here, he said that as a key ally of the NDA, the SAD was committed to toe the line of action as decided by the NDA.
The SAD patron said the NDA had convened a meeting tomorrow at New Delhi to finalise the name of the candidate for president.
He said Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Gujral would attend the meeting on behalf of SAD in place of Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, who was not keeping well.
