Punjab's deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today said that the SAD-BJP government has put the development of the state on fast track by ordering timely completion of various projects.
"The kind of development Punjab has witnessed during the last four years could not have been accomplished during the last 60 years," Badal said at a rally here.
On the power sector, the deputy chief minister said that Rs80,000 crore investment had been made in this sector during the last four years.
Badal also criticised the Congress for "scuttling" justice to victims of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
"I was also shocked to know the massacre of 70 Sikhs during '84 riots in Hond village in (Haryana's) Rewaridistrict that was suppressed by investigating agencies for 26 long years," he alleged.
Badal said that he has constituted a seven-member fact finding committee of the Shiromani Akali Dal to get the first hand information on reported "massacre" of the Sikhs in Rewari district.
