Puttaparthi Sathya Sai Baba

Puttaparthi Sathya Sai Baba who died in 2011 did not leave any successors.

A man from Muddenhalli village near Bengaluru has reportedly claimed that he is the reincarnation of Puttaparthi Sathya Sai Baba. Puttaparthi is a town in Andhra Pradesh where Sathya Sai Baba was born and rose to prominence after he became a world renowned spiritual guru. The town is now considered to hold immense spiritual importance. November 24 will be celebrated as Sathya Sai Baba's 90th birth anniversary by his followers.

According to an IBN Live report, a man named Madhusudhan Naidu of Muddenhalli has claimed that Puttaparthi Sai Baba has been visiting him in his dreams. He further claimed that he is the reincarnation of Sathya Sai as he his actions are guided by what the spiritual guru says to him in his dreams, says the report. Naidu also claimed that it was Sai Baba himself who has directed him to organise a 90th birthday bash for him.

However, Sathya Sai Baba trust has reportedly refuted these claims made by Naidu. They have also said it is an attempt made by some people to diminish the spiritual importance of Puttaparthi, according to the report.
