Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi arrived in the quake-hit northeastern state of Sikkim on Wednesday. According to Congress sources, the Congress leader made an aerial survey of the affected areas. He will also meet victims of the quake, which has claimed 61 lives in the state. Gandhi was scheduled to visit Meghalaya related to membership of the youth wing of the party Wednesday, but following Sunday's temblor that originated in the state, the plan was modified. He will now visit the quake victims before attending the public meet in Meghalaya.
