The second spell of rain has left many areas in the city under knee-deep water. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) was flooded with complaints of water-logging from more than 20 areas of the city. In the last 24 hours, the city received 138 mm rainfall.
Reports received here speak of moderate to heavy rainfall in different areas of the state.
Officials here said on Sunday that the average rainfall across the state in the last 24 hours was 43 mm. More rain is expected in the next 24 hours.
In Ahmedabad, the new west zone, east zone and the south zone suffered the most as many localities in these zones were waterlogged. The heavy rain on Saturday night uprooted many trees in different areas of the city.
