NEW DELHI: Bina Ramani, a socialite and key witness in the Jessica Lall murder case, on Wednesday expressed her sympathy with the family of Manu Sharma who was sent to jail for life by Delhi High Court.
"People in Manu Sharma's house must be grieving. I am a mother too, but I want to say that God is watching," she said
However, it was worthwhile to tell the truth, she added.
Her fashion designer daughter Malini Ramani said "It's over now. I am happy for Sabrina (Jessica's sister) and I am sure she must be feeling relieved now."
Referring to the involvement of influential people in the murder, she said "I hope the people with power will think twice before doing anything like this (murder)".
