Rajasthan police has announced a cash reward of Rs50,000 for any person giving information on former IPS officer Madhukar Tandon, allegedly involved in raping a tribal woman 13 years ago.
"We have announced the award to ensure Tandon's arrest at the earliest," an official said today.
The woman, hailing from Dausa district, was allegedly abducted and taken to Noida in Uttar Pradesh in January 1997 where she was raped by Tandon, then posted in the police headquarters here.
The victim recently sat on a dharna here along with her family members and independent MP Kirori Lal Meena seeking justice.
