In a major crackdown on hawala money transfer, police today seized nearly Rs60 lakh cash and arrested the carrier at Koduvally in the district.
Police, acting on a tip off, nabbed one Abdul Razak, 35, and recovered Rs59,96,000 cash kept in two plastic bags near the bus stand in the town, some 20km from Kozhikode, police sources said. The man is being questioned, they said.
