Sanjiv Bhatt faces four cases

Ahmdedabad government produces a list of cases lodged against the suspended IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt.

The Ahmedabad government, on Wednesday, produced a list of cases that were lodged against suspended IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt at different times in his career. The government produced the list of four cases in the district court during the hearing of Bhatt's bail application.

The list included the murder case lodged against Bhatt and other cops at the Jamjodhpur police station in Jamnagar district. In another case registered in Rajasthan, Bhatt is accused of unfairly slapping sections of the Narcotics Act on a person with the intention of forcibly vacating the house of a sitting Gujarat judge's sister. 

Further, in a case registered at Vastrapur police station, additional advocate general Tushar Mehta has accused Bhatt of hacking his e-mail account. The police also mentioned a case registered at Kamalabaug police station in Porbandar where Bhatt allegedly tortured a person. 

The police opposed Bhatt's bail by stating that he is not co operating with the investigating officers. Further, there is a possibility of his intimidating witnesses if released on bail, the police said.
