SC upholds West Bengal government's plea challenging CBI's Sandeshkhali probe

The SC bench comprising Justices BR Gavai and Sandeep Mehta, in addition, rejected initial protests of the Centre on the maintainability of the suit.

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court held that the West Bengal government's suit was valid, wherein they contested the registration of cases by the CBI in the Sandeshkhali incident without its earlier consent.
