Imtiyaz Pathan, an NRI from London, landed in the police net following a complaint of dowry.
Pathan, wed Mehwas, his neighbour in Royal Park society at Juhapura, a year ago. This was his second marriage. But the second marriage also turned turbulent and Pathan left for London following a fight with Mehwas. He used o send her money for her expense while he was in London. Two months ago he returned to India but the couple could not get along.
So Pathan planned to return to London. Before he could board a flight to London, Sarkhej police arrested him on August 18, 2009 following his wife's complaint of physical and mental harassment. In her complaint she also alleged that Pathan made dowry demands. The police seized his passport. Police is investigating the case.
