Pakistan foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi today said he would contact his Indian counterpart S M Krishna after the Indian parliament's budget session ends to discuss modalities for the resumption of dialogue between the two countries.
Qureshi told reporters at the airport in this eastern Pakistani city that he would contact Krishna in keeping with the decision made by the prime ministers of India and Pakistan during their recent meeting in the Bhutanese capital to resume their stalled peace process.
"After (the Indian parliament’s) budget session ends, I will contact (Krishna) and propose dates that are convenient for both countries. Then we will meet and take things forward," he said in response to a question.
All eight issues that were part of the composite dialogue will be part of the upcoming parleys, he said.
The two premiers had decided in their meeting on the sidelines of the SAARC summit last month that Qureshi and Krishna should work out modalities to bridge the trust deficit between the two countries and to resume dialogue.
