Heavy rains and cloudy weather disrupted the schedules of a number of flights from Ahmedabad on Monday. Around ten flights were delayed due to the adverse weather.

"Around nine-ten domestic flights and two international flights from the city were delayed due to heavy rains and cloudy weather. The delay was of around 45 minutes to one hour for most of the affected flights," sources at the airport said.

Most of the affected flights were of private sector airlines, while flights operated by national carrier Indian Airlines were largely unaffected.

"Two flights to Dubai and Doha were slightly delayed due to the rains. Four flights to Mumbai and three flights to Delhi were also among those affected," said sources.
