Six killed in road accident in Maharashtra
The incident took place in the wee hours at the Khambala bridge near Ghoti when the SUV carrying the victims, on their way to Shirdi, was hit by the truck, police said.
Six persons were killed today and four others seriously injured in a road mishap when the vehicle in which they were travelling collided with a truck on the Mumbai-Agra national highway, police said.
The incident took place in the wee hours at the Khambala bridge near Ghoti when the SUV carrying the victims, on their way to Shirdi, was hit by the truck, they said.
The victims, hailing from Airoli in Navi Mumbai have not been identified yet, police said.
The injured have been admitted to Ghoti rural hospital and the truck driver has been arrested, police added.
