Unless you have been living under a rock, you are probably hooked to ‘Kiki Challenge’. From Bollywood stars to Hollywood divas, everyone is attempting this quirky trend that has taken the internet by storm.
But what if we tell you that someone, actually two people, have already ‘won’ the challenge! Yes, the internet has found the winners of the Kiki Challenge! They are not some social media stars or glamorous models. Meet Anil Geela and Pilli Tirupati, the humble farmers from Telangana, who have won the internet.
Dancing to rapper Drake’s hit song, both Geela and Tiruptai are seen grooving in slushy mud even as a bullocks plough the field. Maybe it was their innocence or pure joy of dancing, TV host Trevor Noah declared them as the winner of the Kiki Challenge.
‘We could have easily slipped and fallen. So we planned it and attempted it a few times, before shooting that video in one take,’ Anil Geela was quoted as saying by The News Minute.
The farmers say that it was movie director Sriram Srikanth, who had conceptualised the idea of performing Kiki Challenge in the fields due to police warning. The video was uploaded by Srikanth on his YouTube challenge on August 1 and it became an instant hit.
While several celebs have performed the challenge, so far the best one was by Hollywood legend Will Smith. Performed in scenic Budapest, the video was shot by using drones.
But looks like Indian farmer’s desi rendition has trounced Smith’s stunning video!
Earlier, Kiki dance challenge video of a 55-year-old Vadodara resident had gone viral on social media in Gujarat.
In the video uploaded on YouTube by her son, the woman, Rizwana Mir, was seen dancing on the road beside her car while drivers of other vehicles are heard honking. It was widely shared, and also invited criticism.
Her son, comedian Ariz Mir said the video was shot without posing risk to anybody's life, and it was done only to promote road safety.
The challenge has become a headache for cops across the world with many states issuing warning to the people.
