Two people, including a four-year-old boy, received serious injuries after a speeding car rammed into the divider and collided with the two-wheeler they were travelling on. The victims, Vimal Panchal, 42, and his son Devarsh, were rushed to the nearby hospital in an ambulance.

Investigating officer MD Nisharta told DNA that the driver of the car, Ankit Rajpara, raised the speed to almost 90km/hour and later lost control of his car. "The car broke the divider and crushed the Kinetic," Nisharta said.

Panchal, who is the regional head of an electronic company, was travelling from Sur Dhara circle near SAL hospital when the incident occurred. Ankit's father lives in Dubai.
Both Vimal and his son received serious injuries.

A crowd gathered on the spot and one of them called the 108 ambulance service and the police control room. "While Ankit's friend, who was with him in the car, managed to escape from the spot, he was caught by the people," said Nisharta.

The furious mob assaulted Ankit after which and had too had to be sent to the hospital. In the meanwhile, Ankit managed to escape from the hospital. The Sola police reached the spot after around five hours of the incident.
