The Ministry of Urban Development led by Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday announced the Swachh Survekshan Awards in New Delhi, which featured Indore at the top.
Indore in Madhya Pradesh overtook Karnataka's Mysuru to claim the top spot in the survey which included 434 cities across the country.
Other cities in the list include Mumbai, Varanasi and Gangtok. Leh in Jammu & Kashmir is at 100.
