A tea garden owner was kidnapped by suspected ULFA militants in Assam's Tinsukia district today, police sources said.
The 27-year old Dinesh Sarmah, owner of Bijuliban tea estate was abducted when he was on his morning round by four armed youths who came on two motorcycles. They also hit Sarmah's uncle with a stick injuring him.
The police found empty cartridges of a 9 mm pistol from where Sarmah was taken away.
